Developing criteria (Option 1: using comparison examples)
Use Case
Students formulate assessment criteria themselves instead of receiving a ready-made list. The educator has two solutions generated, each mixing strong and weak approaches, and hands out only the solutions to the small groups; students compare them and derive criteria for a good solution from what they find. Note: The accompanying explanations stay with the educator for the time being. Check in advance that the weaknesses built in are really the ones you want to work on.
Example Prompt
Please create 2 solutions for the following assignment:
“Please write an introduction to a term paper on the topic of theories of motivation.”
Each of the two solutions should contain both very good and weak elements. The weak elements of the first solution should be well solved in the second solution. The good elements of the first solution should be poorly implemented in the second solution.
Please output the two solutions as your answer.
Under each solution, please additionally explain what is done well and what is done poorly in that particular solution.
