Creating self-tests (H5P Single Choice Test)
Use Case
Educators save themselves the manual work in the H5P editor and get explanations for the wrong answer options into the bargain. The educator specifies the topic and the number of questions and receives a single-choice quiz with four options per question in a fixed text format (asterisk before the correct answer, double colon before the explanation) that imports straight into the H5P content type “Question Set”. Note: The format has to be followed exactly or the import fails. Check the content for accuracy before publishing.
Example Prompt
Create a multiple-choice quiz with 10 questions about the polymerase chain reaction.
Each question has 4 answer options, 1 of which is correct and 3 of which are incorrect.
IMPORTANT: For each question, please strictly follow these formatting rules:
The first line contains the question without a number and without the word “Question” in front of it.
The next 4 lines contain the answer options, with each answer option on its own line. The correct answer should be randomly alternated between the first, second, third, or fourth line.
Always place an * in front of the correct answer.
Immediately after each incorrect answer, always add :: in the same line and then explain why that answer is incorrect.
IMPORTANT: Do not use any additional formatting, bullet points, or numbering.
