Supporting integration into the subject culture
Use Case
Students explore the culture of their discipline and its ways of thinking and working, which everyday university life often spells out only in part. They enter four requests one after another – from finding their feet at university to how knowledge is generated in their own field – working individually at first and discussing the results in small groups after each section. Note: The discussion in the small group is a central part of the task; the chatbot’s answer supplies the starting points for it. Statements about disciplinary culture are generalizations and should be checked against your own field.
Example Prompt
* I am a student and new to the university. Somehow, it all feels like a foreign world to me. I have no idea how I can become more integrated into university life.
* How can I better internalize the subject culture?
* I also want to understand how scientists in the field of psychology think and act. They approach things quite differently than I would intuitively.
* How do psychologists go about developing new insights?
